Recruitment project management tools
Overview
The recruitment project management tools consist of a range of resources designed to support project management of recruitment processes. The tools have been designed to support agencies to uphold merit, outlined in the:
- Public Service Act 1999, section 10A(2), and
- Australian Public Service Commissioner’s Directions 2022, section 24
The tools are provided as a non-mandatory framework and are intended to be adapted to meet individual agency requirements. Agencies are encouraged to tailor the resources to align with their branding, internal policy requirements and processes. For example, agencies may add recruitment steps to the project planner to reflect agency specific requirements.
Several templates include instructional guidance notes to assist with completion. These notes are highlighted in red text within the documents and should be removed prior to finalising them.
Related resources
The recruitment project management tools should be used in conjunction with the APS Recruitment Guide, which provides core guidance on conducting APS processes. A series of recruitment-related factsheets, case studies and templates are also available to support your agency in strengthening recruitment practices.
