The APS Professions model is a capability building initiative. It is designed to strengthen the skills, expertise, and readiness of the APS workforce. Since its launch in 2019, the APS Professions has played a pivotal role. It has shaped the capabilities and effectiveness of the public service. The APS Professions aims to attract, develop, retain, and use experts in important areas. By focusing on these areas, we help our workforce achieve better results and improved government services.
Enhancing the APS Professions
Building on the existing HR, digital and data professions, the APSC has introduced three new APS Professions available to Australian government employees across federal, state and local government departments and agencies.
