All staff email to Australian Public Service (APS) employees: APS Bargaining
Colleagues
The APS is preparing for the next round of enterprise agreement bargaining and has recently announced Ms Alison Stott to lead this process as the incoming Chief Negotiator from 22 June 2026.
In 2023, the APS Commission led a successful enterprise agreement bargaining process, delivering modern and inclusive employment conditions for APS employees.
Building on that success, this year we will again run a two-stage bargaining process:
- Part A – Centralised negotiations for Common Conditions applying across the APS
- Part B – Agency-level negotiations for operational arrangements specific to your agency
This service-wide approach aims to continue to reduce fragmentation in pay and conditions between agencies and establish fair, modern and sustainable employment conditions across the APS.
Help inform APS-wide bargaining
You are invited to share your views through a short confidential survey to help inform the next stage of APS-wide bargaining.
The survey asks which employment conditions you are most satisfied with, and which you are least satisfied with. It will take less than 5 minutes to complete.
Link to survey: APS Bargaining Survey
The survey will close on Friday 19 June 2026.
