This results dashboard is a tool designed to help users navigate APS agencies' published 2024 APS Employee Census results.
The 2023 APS Employee Census was administered from 8 May to 9 June 2023. Responses were received from 127,436 APS employees across 103 agencies. This represents an 80% response rate – and is the highest number of responses ever received for the annual survey.

In 2023, 103 APS agencies participated in the APS Employee Census, with 159,539 APS employees invited to respond to the survey. A total of 127,436 APS employees responded, with a response rate of 80 per cent. The APS Employee Census ran from Monday 8 May to Friday 9 June 2023.
The 2021 APS Employee Census was administered from 10 May 2021 to 11 June 2021. Responses were received from 109,537 APS employees across 101 agencies.

The APS Employee Census is an annual survey which is used to collect confidential attitude and opinion information from APS employees on important issues in the workplace.
The Australian Public Service employment data releases presents a summary of employment under the Public Service Act 1999 as well as summary data.
The purpose of this employee census is to understand your views on, and experiences of working in, your agency and the broader Australian Public Service (APS).
