Proposed Commonwealth positions
Disclaimer: The positions outlined on this page are proposals and remain subject to ongoing bargaining. These positions are subject to change through bargaining and do not represent final agreed outcomes or create new employee entitlements.
APS-wide bargaining is moving into the next stage; the Chief Negotiator is tabling proposed Commonwealth positions on matters where we can be a model employer; build a unified, capable and contemporary APS; support mobility, attraction and retention; drive productivity and service delivery; uphold fairness and equity; and ensuring sustainability.
The proposed Commonwealth positions outline changes we're proposing to make to strengthen the overall APS employment offer. They are shaped by a range of factors including, but not limited to, what you told us through the APS Employment Conditions Survey, discussions in bargaining meetings, and the claims and perspectives put forward by bargaining representatives.
The proposed positions focus on where greater commonality could improve employment conditions, provide greater certainty and strengthen the overall APS employment offer.
Explore the position below to see what is being proposed and what it could mean for you. More positions will be added as bargaining progresses.
