SFIA - the Skills Framework for the Information Age
The APS is licensed to use the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) under a license agreement established by the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) last year. Details about the license, the SFIA community of practice and more information about the SFIA are available on the APSC’s SFIA webpage.
To learn more about SFIA, the APSC has created an eLearning course: SFIA – Skills Framework for the Information Age. This course is available free of charge for all APS staff through APSLearn.
The course introduces you to SFIA and provides some examples of how it can be used including an explanation on the licensing arrangements.
Digital Career Pathways – can you help?
The Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) is working with the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) to map the digital career pathways that APS employees can explore to advance their career.
To make sure these pathways are correct and applicable to all agencies, representatives are required to join the Digital Career Pathways Reference Group.
The group will connect the APSC and DTA with digital practitioners in your agency and review the pathways during development. If this sounds like an opportunity for you, please join the reference group through GovTEAMs or send an email to capability [at] digital.gov.au.
