Building an understanding of the APS and how it operates is critical to help you succeed in your new role.
We have a number of development opportunities that can support your new APS career, including:
APS Online Induction Portal
The APS Online Induction Portal includes a range of eLearning modules, videos, and guides aimed to prepare new APS employees to work effectively in the APS operating environment. The modules generally each take between 15-20 minutes to complete.
To access the Portal, an administrator in your HR area will need to assign employees a login and password. If your agency has not yet signed up to administer the portal learningdesign [at] apsc.gov.au
SES Orientation is the first step in building the foundation for senior leadership in the APS. The course helps you to transition into the Senior Executive Service by understanding expectations at this level and helping you build a network across the APS. It covers the importance of your stewardship role and your broader accountabilities as an SES officer.
SES Orientation complements agency-specific orientation and is suitable for people currently transitioning into SES roles. To register visit APSLEARN.
