Elizabeth joined the Department of Human Services in 2009 as a Government Lawyer primarily undertaking advice work on child support matters. Prior to joining the department she worked as a family law solicitor.
Since joining the department Elizabeth have undertaken roles conducting judicial and merits review proceedings before the (then) Federal Magistrates Court and Administrative Appeals Tribunal in both Canberra, Sydney and across Australia.
Her current role is in information law and she manages the department’s Freedom of Information matters and associated Australian Information Commissioner and Administrative Appeals Tribunal reviews.
Elizabeth’s responsibilities include providing administrative law advice, managing internal and external stakeholders, executive management and people development.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts (History and Politics) degree from the University of Wollongong.

Alice Linacre is the General Counsel of the Department of Agriculture and Water Resources. She has held that position since January 2017. Prior to that Alice spent 3 and a half years as the General Counsel of the FOI and Litigation Branch at the Department of Human Services. Before that Alice was a Special Counsel at Clayton Utz in Canberra, specialising in administrative law and litigation.
