You’re invited to explore the Department of Jobs and Small Business’s innovative approach to sharing content and positively engaging with media – the newsroom.
Established as a source of timely, non-political, factual and targeted information, the newsroom offers greater access to the department’s information, data and stories on jobs, workplace relations and small business.
In designing and developing the newsroom, the department consulted with journalists and news producers from print, television, radio and online news outlets, covering metro and regional areas, to learn firsthand what members of the media would find most useful.
The department also drew on the experience and expertise of partners across the APS with experience in creating online content targeted to news media, including colleagues at the Department of Human Services, Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, Digital Transformation Office and the Department of Home Affairs.
