The Australian Public Service Commission has been working with senior officials from a number of agencies to identify common problems and solutions that can be applied to address unscheduled absence across the APS. An outcome of this process is an Absence Management Toolkit providing a range of tools for managing attendance. The target audience for the Toolkit is human resource managers and line managers.
The Australian Public Service Commission has established a govdex community containing the Absence Management Toolkit. This allows agencies to selectively choose products to tailor and apply to their own agencies.
