Many of the complex issues facing leaders in the APS involve working closely with diverse stakeholders both within and beyond the APS. Working collaboratively means engaging with individuals and groups that often hold differing perspectives, values, priorities and definitions of success.
This program is for APS executives who want to develop their skills in leading collaborative work with diverse stakeholders. Participants will learn about the theory and practice of collaboration, and by the end of the program will have new insights, new skills and an action plan to progress their collaborative initiative.
This program is intended to strengthen participants' ability to:
- Recognise the purpose of collaboration and the contexts where collaboration is most useful.
- Examine the organisational environment to identify the challenges and opportunities for effective collaboration.
- Implement strategies to work effectively with diverse interests, loyalties and values among stakeholders.
