Choice of interactive workshop:

Workshop 1: Understanding change

Change is personal and resistance is normal. Sometimes change can be misunderstood and mismanaged because we fail to understand our own reactions and those of our staff and/or colleagues. What are some of the common elements of successful change and how can you be an effective part of it?

In this workshop we’ll explore the nature of change through a range of activities designed to get you thinking and talking about change. We’ll also look at why people resist change and strategies to reframe our reactions to change into something more constructive.

Workshop 2: Supporting change through communication

Our ability to communicate during times of change is critical. Without the right communication, people become uncertain and negative and are unable to see the benefits or even understand the purpose of the change. Communication impacts employees' reactions and it can therefore determine the outcome of any change.

Come to this workshop to learn how to contribute and support change through effective communication techniques. Recognise your own and others’ communication needs at each stage of the change curve. This highly interactive workshop will provide you with a range of tools and techniques to use through each step of the change process.

4.10 – 4.15 Closing remarks
