2018 APSwide national conference series
The APSwide national conference series concluded in Canberra on Wednesday 10 October 2018. This year’s theme focussed on positioning the APS for the future.
Conferences were delivered in every Australian capital city and Townsville between June and October 2018. Approximately 1500 Australian Public Servants (APS) attended at least one of the events.
The conference programs comprised of presentations from Secretaries and Deputy Secretaries, and interactive workshops designed to equip attendees with tangible skills to implement in the workplace. Presentation topics included APS Reform and Review, diversity and inclusion, digital capability, and integrity in the APS.
Senator the Hon Mathias Cormann, Minister for Finance and the Public Service, delivered his first address to the APS at the culminating event in Canberra. The Australian Public Service Commissioner, Mr Peter Woolcott AO, delivered a keynote address, Where to for the Australian Public Service, at the same event.
The APSwide conference series is the only conference series delivered by the APS for the APS. The Australian Public Service Commission will repeat the APSwide national conference series in 2019. More information coming soon.
