The APS Graduate Development Program (GDP) is open to new graduate employees from participating departments and agencies across the APS. The program helps graduates to gain an understanding of the public service environment, supports them to build skills to effectively manage and do their work and builds a network of other graduates from across the APS.
The GDP includes face-to-face workshops, coaching sessions, group activities, practical simulations, workplace learning, and a major project.
The program also provides a pathway to further study through the Australian National University- Crawford School or Public Policy, University of Canberra and CPA Australia.

- CPA Australia (reduction of one year for the practical CPA).
Graduates
Participants in the GDP must have a graduate position within the APS. Graduates must be enrolled in the program by their employing agency and complete the Program as a requirement of their graduate year.

Departments and agencies may contact the APSC to discuss how they can be involved. Our program team will provide a proposal which includes options for delivery and agency-specific information.
Fees
The fee for the 2019 Graduate Development Program is $9,700 per participant.
