APS 6 - Project Officer, Pathology Quality Section

Description of role:              

The Diagnostic Imaging and Pathology Branch are seeking to fill a temporary APS 6 Project Officer position in the Pathology Quality Section. The Pathology Quality Section manages the provision of quality pathology services through the national pathology accreditation program and the Quality Use of Pathology Program. The Section manages this program and provides policy advice on pathology quality issues and administrative support for the ministerial appointed expert body—the National Pathology Accreditation Advisory Council and its subcommittees.

The successful candidate will, under limited direction, provide high level project management support for grants provided under the Quality Use of Pathology Program (QUPP), manage procurements related to the pathology quality programs and provide high level secretariat support to expert pathology committees as well as perform other required job duties.

Qualifications in medical science or a pathology related field are desirable.
