Description of role:              

The Recalls & Case Management Section coordinates and manages recall and non-recall actions of therapeutic goods where their safety may have been compromised.  This involves liaising with the sponsor of the therapeutic good and the relevant regulatory areas within the TGA to achieve agreed outcomes. 

We also collect, investigate and, where appropriate, take action in response to potential non-compliances of medicine manufacturers with manufacturing standards, both in Australia and overseas. A key aspect of this work is exchanging information and undertaking compliance actions with international medicines regulators.
