2 The basis for undertaking strategic workforce analysis and reporting

As an organisation’s workforce is one of its largest assets and investments, there is a business imperative to understand, manage and plan for it properly. Strategic workforce analysis and reporting provides information that builds understanding, and supports effective management and planning now and in the future. It also provides a means of measuring the extent to which workforce management and planning (and associated strategies and initiatives) are mitigating the risks to achieving the workforce required to deliver business outcomes.

By establishing a shared language that links workforce metrics to business outcomes, strategic workforce analysis and reporting also provides a platform for engaging more effectively with your Executive and working in partnership with business.
