The APS Induction program is now available for staff new to the Australian Public Service.
The program consists of 10 modules covering core knowledge that is essential for working in the APS. Key topics include: the structure of government, the APS ethical and legal framework, governance, and workforce diversity. These modules will each take between 15 -30 minutes to complete. Although there is a progressive flow between the modules, there is flexibility to undertake them in any order or discreetly.
While it is expected that the online program will be an easily accessible, flexible component of agency induction and graduate programs, it will also be an essential means for experienced APS staff to update themselves on the recent changes to the Public Service Act 1999 especially in the areas of Values, Ethics, Code of Conduct and the new Employment Principles.
