The source of data for Section 2 is APSED. For a definition of ‘non-ongoing’ staff see Appendix 1 ‘Explanatory Notes’.
Women make up 62.8% of non-ongoing employees. Non-ongoing staff are likely to be younger and at lower levels. The proportion of non-ongoing employees aged under 25 is 20.7%, compared with 4.4% of ongoing employees, and 67.4% are at APS 4 and below, compared with 40.5% of ongoing staff.
