ELLN forum

The Executive Level Leadership Network (ELLN) provides an opportunity for EL employees from across the APS to come together to strengthen their leadership practice by hearing from a range of engaging speakers with diverse perspectives, sharing insights and experiences with colleagues, and building collaborative networks across agencies.

The ELLN Annual Forum will be held on Thursday 28 June 2012. The theme is "Leading in complex and uncertain times", providing EL leaders with the opportunity to broadly consider the changing requirements of public service in the 21st century, and at a practical level, some of the skills and thinking required for effective leadership in a dynamic and challenging environment.

The one day forum includes a mix of keynote speakers including Mr Stephen Sedgwick AO, Public Service Commissioner, Mr Anh Do, Inspirational speaker, Mr James Adonis, Employee Engagement Specialist, and also includes practical and interactive concurrent workshops and a facilitated panel discussion. The topic areas for speaker presentations, workshops and the panel discussion include:

  • Building flexibility and resilience in your team
  • Successful policy collaboration for results
  • Thinking strategically in a dynamic environment
  • Being resourceful in times of constraint
  • Moving outside your comfort zone-creativity and innovation

Your EL staff can register for the forum for the cost of $330 for the one day event, or can purchase a subscription at $690 for the annual forum and 4 events (2 hour durations) to be scheduled throughout the 2012/13 financial year.

We would appreciate your assistance in forwarding this opportunity onto your Executive Level employees. You may also like to consider purchasing an agency subscription that can be shared across a number of your Executive Level staff throughout the year at the various events.
