The Australian Public Service as a whole is striving to become an employer of choice for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. As we all work to improve our cultural capability, our individual Reconciliation Action Plans (RAP) raise awareness of the need to make our workplaces safe and tolerant.

Reconciliation Australia provides many resources to support these goals including partnering with SBS and NITV to launch the Reconciliation Film Club. This is an online platform that supports organisations to host screenings from a curated selection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander documentaries created by Australia’s leading Indigenous filmmakers.

Hosting a screening is an opportunity to bring people together to develop a deeper understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples perspectives, and histories, to ignite conversations and spark change. It’s also a great platform to engage staff more actively in your organisation’s RAP. Make full use of this great resource!
