Minister launches booklet Our Stories - Career Profiles of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People in the Australian Public Service

Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, Tony Abbott, has launched a booklet telling the stories of 15 indigenous employees of the Australian Public Service at the National Museum in Canberra today.
The booklet has been compiled to acknowledge the contribution made to the Australian Public Service by indigenous Australian employees.
The booklet brings together the stories of 15 talented indigenous Australians who are performing a wide range of roles in the Australian Public Service in many fields at different levels and in many locations. A list of the contributors is attached.
"I want to congratulate all contributors to this booklet who have kindly offered their stories," Mr Abbott said.
"I hope the people in this booklet will act as role models for other Indigenous Australians."
"I am delighted to have most of the contributors with us today from as far afield as Kakadu, Broome, Adelaide, Hobart, Townsville, Brisbane, Sydney and Dandenong, as well as from Canberra.
The booklet, compiled by the Australian Public Service Commission is intended to promote Indigenous Employment in the APS.
