The following Commission guides and publications can prove useful for APS human resource and learning and development practitioners.

Senior Executive Leadership Capability framework
The Framework identifies the five core criteria for high performance by senior executives. Each of the criteria heads a group of inter-related capabilities. The Framework does not describe the functions or responsibilities of particular senior executive roles.

Integrated Leadership System
Building on SELC framework the Integrated Leadership System (ILS) has been developed to provide a common language for leadership development in the APS.

Learning and development evaluation guide
provide practical support and guidance for human resource and learning and development practitioners to effectively evaluate their agency's learning and development.

Building capability: A framework for managing learning and development in the APS
This guide, produced in collaboration between the ANAO and the Commission, draws on the experiences of the ANAO audit of learning and development, the MAC study of organisational renewal, as well as international and private sector trends.

Developing leadership
Developing Leadership—Who? What? Where? is intended to assist in the promotion of a broader understanding of leadership development issues in the public sector. It seeks to provide readers with a snapshot of leadership development programs and other initiatives in a variety of APS agencies.

The HR Capability Model sets out the skills required of highly effective human resource people in the APS: those who effect organisational change, build agency capability and strengthen the impact of HR on business outcomes.
