New State learning and development calendar

21 Jan 2013

During 2013, in addition to the Australian Public Service Commission’s National Calendar Programs delivered at the Woden Training Centre, the APSC will deliver a variety of APS, EL and SES programs at interstate locations. Programs have been scheduled in Sydney, Perth, Hobart, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane.

Harnessing Federalism: The missing key to successful reform

Mr Paul McClintock AO, Chairman of the COAG Reform Council and former Head of the Cabinet Policy Unit in the Australian Government, will deliver a public lecture on federalism and reform in Australia. Mr McClintock will also draw on his wider experience as current Chairman of Medibank Private Limited, Myer Holdings, Thales Australia, I-MED Network and the Institute of Virology to explore the opportunities and challenges presented by the federal structure of government in Australia.

Nominations have opened for the 2013 SES Band 2 Talent Development Program. This program provides an opportunity to enhance the leadership capabilities of SES Band 2 employees who have the ability, aspiration and engagement to contribute to public policy making and administration by taking up more senior leadership roles in the APS.

Executive Level Leadership Network

The ELLN annual forum provides an opportunity to EL leaders from across the APS to come together to strengthen their leadership practice through learning from a range of engaging speakers with diverse perspectives, sharing insights and experiences with colleagues and building collaborative networks.
