Coaching services
The coaches on the Commission’s Leadership, Learning & Development (LL&D) panel engage in collaborative, solution focussed, results oriented, and systemic processes to facilitate the enhancement of performance, life experience, self directed learning, and personal growth.
Our coaches offer face-to-face coaching sessions, or less frequently, telephone coaching, to explore options, issues, ideas and/or new approaches to the individual’s or group’s development. They use tools to improve self-awareness, identify strengths and areas for development and then develop coaching programmes that will build and sustain improved performance. Their services apply to levels APS 1—6, Graduates, EL 1—2 and the SES.
Coaching services can be utilised in the following broad areas:
- Skills – focuses on the development of task knowledge i.e. performance management, reducing conflict, strategic thinking, cultivating productive working relationships, communication, the creation of collaborative working environments.
- Performance – focuses on business performance i.e. increasing productivity, achieving results, business process refinement,
- Development – Individual capability and career development; a focus on interpersonal behaviours i.e. strengthening and enhancing leadership qualities, becoming more decisive, communicating with influence and developing model behaviours.
