Certificate IV in Project Management (BSB41507)
The Certificate IV in Project Management (BSB41507) is designed for people currently working in project related environments or those who would like to extend their project management skills. This program provides the skills, techniques and tools to properly plan, manage and execute a project. It also aims to explain project management requirements in a broader organisational context.
To achieve the Certificate IV in Project Management, you will study and be assessed in eight units of competence.

- BSBPM432A Apply cost management techniques
- BSBPM404A Apply quality management techniques
- BSBPM405A Apply human resources management approaches
- BSBPM406A Apply communications management techniques
- BSBPM407A Apply risk management techniques
- BSBPM408A Apply contract and procurement techniques
You will need to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the range of skills, tools, techniques and processes required to assist in planning, executing and finalising projects.
This course will focus primarily on the PMBOK methodology and this will be the basis for assessment.
Program Delivery
The program will be delivered in a semi-flexible mode comprising a mix of mandatory face-to-face tutorial sessions and online study. The program has been structured to facilitate completion within six months.
- Introductory Session (mandatory) 9am - 12:30pm Friday 14 May 2010 (course commencement)
- Tutorial session (optional) 9am - 12:30pm Friday 23 July 2010
- Tutorial session (optional) 9am - 12:30pm Friday 24 September 2010
- Course completion (no session) Friday 26 November 2010
Issuing of Qualifications
The qualification will be issued by the Canberra Institute of Technology.
