The Commission's Graduate events is an excellent avenue for APS graduates to build their knowledge of current Australian Public Service (APS) issues and establish strong networks amongst their graduate colleages from other departments and agencies.
The four events in the series, listed below, provide valuable insight into the APS and its senior managers in an interactive and entertaining manner:
- A Taste of Government

It provides an excellent opportunity for graduates to hear the perspectives of two prominent, leading and experienced senior public servants. The event also includes an opening address by the Minister. There will be opportunities for graduates to raise questions with the speakers and establish networks with other APS graduates
- The Great APS Graduate Debate

This event provides an opportunity for graduates to represent their agency in a whole-of-government event. Agencies can select up to four graduates to partake in the audition process with the top ten to represent the 2013 APS graduate cadre live on stage. Adam Spencer will be back by popular demand to MC the event. Debate auditions will be held in mid to late March 2013

The Panel Discussion provides an opportunity for APS graduates to engage with a range of speakers from the public and private sector who will provide diverse perspectives on a topic relevant to the current APS operating environment. This event is aimed at motivating and inspiring graduates as they transition through their career in the APS. In 2012, this event was run as a Q&A with Tony Jones
