Indigenous APS learning and development

The Australian Public Service Commission (the Commission) is working towards improving the number of Indigenous Australians working in the Australian Public Service (APS) and their prospects for career development. The Commission offers a range of development programs for Indigenous employees in the APS.

Career Trek

Indigenous Career Trek delivers a range of learning and development opportunities to support career development and advancement for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees at all levels in the Australian Public Service.

Career Trek was designed to enhance access to career development opportunities for regionally based staff and those employed by small to medium sized agencies, as well as expanding opportunities for staff based in Canberra and other capital cities.

For further information go to our Career Trek page or contact the National Leadership and Programmes Centre on 02 6202 3740.

Other learning and development opportunities

Both the Indigenous Scholarship Program and the Horizons program are currently being redeveloped for 2010. Once the programs have been finalised, further details will be posted on this page.
