Melbourne IAPSEN
WelcomeMembership of our group is open to all Indigenous staff working in the Australian Public Service (APS) in Victoria. As you can see we have meetings every two months designed so that we can catch up, network, share information about what is happening in each of our agencies, particularly around training and employment opportunities and work on our event planning. When possible we also have guest speakers and presentations about specific areas of interest to the group. Our group focuses on running at least one significant networking event every year, usually around October/November. Last year for example we organised a screening of the documentary My Brother Vinnie and Aaron Pedersen and Mum Frances, who appear in the documentary, were kind enough to come along to introduce and talk about the film and their life with Vinnie. If you would like to come along to the meetings please email melbourne.iapsen@apsc.gov.au and we will update our records and add you to our emailing list. The committee works hard in organising meetings and events so please support your Victorian IAPSEN by attending meetings and spreading the word. Your attendance and contribution is essential to the continuing success of our network. |
