Join usIAPSENs provide a meeting place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employees to support each other, share information and experiences and promote cultural awareness and respect in the wider APS. They provide an opportunity for employees across all levels to tap into the support that people need from time to time. IAPSENs create a setting for learning, whether it’s from your own experiences or those of others who may have been in the APS for a longer period. Having a network of friends and colleagues to share your experiences with can deal with concerns in a friendly, non judgemental way and foster discussions that may help you to feel more comfortable and secure in the APS environment. We encourage new members of the APS to join their local IAPSEN. To join, simply contact the IAPSEN nearest to you (see below). If you can’t find a local IAPSEN, please email the national coordinator.
