On Thursday 7 December, graduates at the Australian Public Service Commission and other Public Service agencies celebrated the completion of their graduate development program with a ceremony at the Australian National University, Canberra.
Hollie Gill, an Indigenous graduate working at the National Library of Australia, delivered a Welcome to Country opening the graduation ceremony. A number of grad finalists presented projects as part of their 2017 graduate development program, which demonstrated their talent and innovative thinking.
Graduates at the Clean Energy Regulator won the 2017 Digital Media Clip Award with their entertaining and innovative video CER Airlines – Unleashing the power of data, about cross-agency data sharing. The production reinforces one of the key messages at the IPA-APSC 2017 Address to the APS event - collaborate, collaborate, collaborate.
Graduates from the Department of Finance were awarded the Outstanding Achievement Award for their major project submission, Service Delivery Office – Operating model definition.
Speaking at the graduation, Stephanie Foster, former Deputy Commissioner at the Australian Public Service Commission, congratulated everyone completing the APS graduate development program this year. “We're very happy for you all and excited for you as you move into the next stage of your career.”
