Frequently asked questions
If I am not satisfied with the outcome of a Code of Conduct investigation about me, do I have any rights to have the outcome reviewed?
Regulation 5.24(2) of the Public Service Regulations 1999 provides that applications must be made to the Merit Protection Commissioner if the application is for review of:
- a determination that the affected employee has breached the Code of Conduct: or
- a sanction imposed for breach of the Code of Conduct.
The application must state briefly:
- why the review is sought; and
- if a particular outcome is sought – the outcome sought.
